CheHre- The Dramatics Club of IMNU organised a three-day flagship event, Creative Cut from5th feb to 7th feb 2019, a National Level Short Film Making Competition that is an amalgamation of various events. The theme for the short film this year was “The Unknown Truth”.
The first day commenced with a Movie Night wherein the best movie portraying the saga of friendship and love “Zindagi na Milegi Dobara” was screened. Imnu enjoyed the movie with friends and lots of snacks. The Innocent children from Nirmaan were also invited to watch the movie.
On the second day, an inter-section short film competition on the set theme was organised wherein the films were shown in the auditorium. Students of IMNU from each section spent sleepless nights in preparing and editing these short 5 to 15mins films. Team celestials and team Blackhawks short film was chosen to move in the next round to further compete with the external films.
The final day was the most exciting one. Shortlisted films from colleges spread across India along with the shortlisted internal short film from day 2 were played in the IMNU auditorium. Also, the chehre club organised “MATKA AWARDS”, with 16 amusing categories for which the senior batch was awarded based on a poll. The event witnessed a huge participation as the auditorium was choc-a-block with students who had a great time watching the films and cheering the seniors for the awards. This is an exciting and special part especially for the seniors of IMNU as we plan to give out some fun awards to them.
