A couple of things that July means to those of us in Nirma – writing the first few assignments, dealing with the harrowing selection processes of clubs & committees, and the opportunity to showcase our talents in the talent night – APRATIM. The event was organised by the Cultural committee the theme for which was Halloween.
The evening opened with Ganesh Vandana and transitioned into a celebratory mood. Individual as well as group performances displayed the spirits of the new batch in singing, dancing and acting. All the sections brought glamour and panache to the fashion shows with themes such as Nerd vs. Dope, Indo-Western, Monochrome and Colour Palette. The auditorium roared with laughter with a stand-up comedy act. A collective gasp of astonishment greeted the live painting of Michael Jackson by a participant.
The event garnered a lot of enthusiasm from both the junior and senior batches as everybody grooved to the rhythm of melodious singers and graceful dancers brought in by Club Fiesta. Club Chehre put up an immaculate performance with their acting & storytelling.
All in all, the event was a colossal success and we all rejoiced at the idea of nurturing new talent at IMNU.
