Wisdom Valley

‘Knowledge comes from Learning

Wisdom comes from Living’

-Anthony Douglas Williams

While subjects like Finance, Marketing, Operations and Economics teach us how to handle businesses, make money and be successful managers and entrepreneurs, the stories of Grandma and Grandpa teach us the power of gratitude, the essence of life and the importance of being happy with what we have. With the experience they have gained in their lives, they are indeed valleys of wisdom. Recognizing the elderly as treasures of invaluable lessons, stories, experiences and wisdom, Mavericks- The Social Committee of the BBA-MBA Integrated Programme, in association with Ritayan- The Dance and Music Club of BBA, planned a visit to Hiramani Old Age Home on 28th December 2017 and celebrate Christmas with its inhabitants. They named the visit ‘Wisdom Valley‘.

The event began with Saraswati Vandana and a dance performance by Ritayan. Santa Claus brought in the festive spirit with old melodies and gifts for everyone. Fun games like ‘Pop the Ball in the Bucket’ and ‘Passing the Parcel’ were also played, which brought back memories of childhood days.

The event ended with the students and the inhabitants of the old age home bonding over cake and snacks. Santa went to the old age home with gifts for the elderly and returned with a bag full of memories for all the students, who promised to go back for more such visits in the Wisdom Valley.
