Symposium on Management Education and its Future Prospects was organised by Institute of Management, Nirma University on 19th December, 2017. The purpose of this Symposium was to provide aspirants of management education insights that would help them in pursuing higher studies in this area.
The first speaker for the day was Mr. Arks Srinivas, National Head, Career Launcher. He spoke on the theme “Personality Development for Career Growth.” With his infectious energy he spoke on why self awareness is important to control the direction in which your life moves.
Mr. R. Balasunder, Centre Manager and Partner, IMS Resource, the next speaker for the session spoke on “Transition – Student to Professional.” He demonstrated the students about the transition through visuals.
Mr. Varun Gupta, Director, Varun Gupta Academy addressed the students on the topic “MBA as a Career Option in today’s changing world.” He said that 21st century is the one where knowledge is power and therefore, it is important to act and evolve with the fast pace of the century.
The second session started with the theme “Importance of MBA in life and path to succeed” by Mr. Vivek Sharma, Managing Director, Sai Vidya Education. He guided the students on how to crack the entrance examinations and inspired them to follow their dreams.
Dr. Sandeep Atre, Founder and Director, CH Edge Makers delivered his address on the topic “Careers are not made, they are built.” He said the best achievements are met in life by keeping things simple, giving the example of Google’s homepage. By saying “Know more and more about less and less” he meant to explain that people should be curious and try to get deeper knowledge about the simple but critical things. He also gave the example of Dr. Harivansh Rai Bacchhan’s famous poem Madhushala that gives the message of being focused to achieve a singular goal.
The last session for the day was taken by Mr. Sanket Bagla, Centre Director, Career Launcher who spoke on “MBA 2020.” He shared his inspiring journey of becoming a career counselor with the students. His address was enlightening for the students.
All these sessions were extremely helpful for the students in bringing clarity to the young confused minds attending the sessions.
The event was organised under the guidance of Session Chairpersons Dr. Sameer Pingle, Dr. Subrat Sahu, Dr. Nikunj Patel and Dr. Sapna Parashar.
