Parakram Day 1: October 9, 2015

Parakram, the three day national level inter B-school sports festival was inaugurated on October 9, 2015. This prestigious event is organized by the Sports Committee of the Institute of Management, Nirma University.Parakram is organised with the aim to provide opportunity to the students to showcase their talent at various sports. Moreover, it is a platform which will enable the students from various B-schools to meet, learn and interact with each other.


The participating B-schools are The Department of Management Sciences, SavitribaiPhule Pune University (PUMBA), Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC, Delhi), Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH), School of Petroleum Management (PDPU, Gandhinagar), Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI, Gandhinagar), GhanshyamdasSaraf College of Arts & Commerce (SARAF), Mudra Institute of Strategic Marketing and Communication (MICA), National Institute of Construction Management and Research (NICMAR) and Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA). Apart from the aforementioned teams, the in-house team of IMNU will be participating in all the events as well.

The atmosphere at IMNU is highly charged up with excitement and enthusiasm. The Institute is buzzing with cheers, sports commentary and student interaction.The first game of the event was the football match between EDI and IMNU, which the home team IMNU won by 1-0.The 2nd event was the cricket match between SRCC and PUMBA, and it was won by PUMBA by 32 runs. The 3rd event was the match of Table Tennis between SARAF and PUMBA, which was won by team PUMBA 3-1. Football, basketball, volleyball, badminton and tennis matches are scheduled to be held later in the evening.
