Indranil Banerjee Sir rightly said today, a Guru is someone who removes darkness from one’s life. Keeping this noble thought in mind, our teachers painstakingly take us through the path of attaining knowledge . As a gratitude to them, the Cultural Committee of IMNU celebrated ‘Marg Darshak’. The event was held on a busy Monday evening on 7th August 2015. The celebrations started off with Prof. Rajesh Kikan, who came up to share his experience in the field of imparting knowledge.

The celebrations continued with a Song-guessing game, ‘Bujho to Jaaney’. Faculty members Reena Shah , Ashwini Prof. Awasthi and Sapna Parashar spiritedly sang to new and old Bollywood songs such as Dekho maine dekha ek sapna, Joota hai Japani and the likes. Prof. Satish Nair sang the hit Bollywood number, Baby Doll and received a standing ovation! The winners of the game, Prof. Sanjay Jain, Prof. Rajesh Kikani and Prof. Khyati were felicitated by Prof. Harismita Trivedi. Prof. Satish Nair was titled ‘Star of the Game’ as he fervently sang back to back hit numbers.

Later, Chehre, the drama club of IMNU, presented a movie with an extremely beautiful message saying ‘The best gift we can give to our teachers is passing on the knowledge we gain from them’. Their performance was on point, as always! After some poems and shayari by students, Nikunj Patel took the dais and shared his experience as a faculty at IMNU. The event ended with a cake cutting ceremony. Such events truly enhance the beauty of the teacher-student bonding.
