Teacher’s Day……….

Rejoiced, exuberant and full of life, seemed all the professors of IMNU as the students celebrated Teachers’ Day in a new style. Far away from the serious and to-the-point interactions that the students have with teachers all the year around, it was a day when everyone came up and enjoyed together. Keeping aside all the concepts for management, professors got up to rock the stage and show their fun side with songs, shayari and antakshari. The professors showed that when it comes to having fun, they were no less than any student. Even the crowd enjoyed seeing their dear and respected professors in their all new Avatars and cheered them with full enthusiasm.

The course of the event started with the cake cutting ceremony to celebrate the day. This was followed by a vibrant poetry, describing the sense of gratitude that a student has for his/her teacher and what teacher expects from his student in life. Then the professors took centrestage with their back to back performances. What could be more meaningful than to see that amidst all the fun and joy, one of the professors got emotional and dedicated the song “Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna…” to the students who are about to move forward in the journey of life. Then, students showed their gratitude towards the professors with their dance and singing performaces. A fun round of Antakshari was played between the 3 teams consisting of professors. Towards the end, came the most delightful part of the event when a professor quoted, “I couldn’t imagine Teachers’ Day could be more hilarious than this”. Categorically, it was a celebration that will remain fresh in the memories of all students and professors forever.
