IMNU witnessed the gracious presence of Mr. Rob Hanna, currently the director of operations for Dell Social Innovation Challenge and a Board member of Hope Campaign on 26th September, 2012 to acquaint students to the concept of Social Innovation.
He enlightened the crowd with various dimensions of Social Innovation and persuaded them to shun their inhibitions and come forward with their unique ideas. He believes that barriers to action obstruct the implementation and hence, one needs to get started.
He added that innovation which easily connects with people automatically gains acceptance among the masses. He tickled the intellectual nerves of the budding minds by introducing them to a global platform named “Dell Social Innovation Challenge”. It provides students with an opportunity to showcase their breakthrough ideas to the world and take the first step towards Social Entrepreneurship. He concluded the session by praising the abundance of intellectual wealth existing in India.
