Institute of Management, Nirma University, Ahmedabad (IMNU) is back with its Annual Management Festival PERSPECTIVE which will be held on 10th and 11th February, 2012.
On the day 2, the ball was set rolling by the “Morph”, an event organised by NiCHE- the marketing club of IMNU, an event which tests the participants for their skills of innovation and creativity. They have to present a plan for “Indian Retail” which puts to use technology and an innovative business model to revolutionalise the industry. The other event organised by NiCHE was “Bizzart”. At “BIZZART”, the participants had to design a service blueprint for a particular hotel. Based on the case-study provided to them, the participants presented their ideas in the final round.The HR clu b, Imprintz organised its second event- “Bellatus Ultimus” which tested their Logical, Analytical and Decision Making skills. The participants had to face interviews, real life business situation through a case study and develop a product and market it. Their performance in these areas decided the best manager.
Rotract club organised “Prayaas”- the social B-plan competition in which the participants had to present a business idea that was feasible in all respects i.e. Technology, Economic, Legal, Operational, Financial, Resources etc. The key is to build strong communities that engage citizens and inspire change, and hence, in partnership with Rotaract Club of IMNU the focus will be on supporting the implementation of the winning plan. The finance club I.e. Finesse, organised an equity research competition, “Longs and Shorts”. The challenge was to analyse a particular company and state their recommendation to the panel as to whether they should buy or sell that particular stock. They were judge on the depth of analysis, authenticity and quality of parameters used for research.And finally the most gruelling test of wit and smartness was the flagship event “Quizzard” of the quiz club- ExQuizite. It tested the participant’s knowledge of business, current affairs and also from politics, history, sports and entertainment.
The guests at the event were some of the prominent personalities of Ahmedabad- Mr Shailendra Nautiyal, Executive VP, Times Foundation, Mr Uttam Sharma, Manager- CSR, HDFC Life, Indranil Banerjee, General Manager, Pantaloons stores, Prof Snehal Desai, Visiting Faculty, IMNU and Deputy GM, Adani.
