Aspiring Analysts at IMNU Learn From A Professional Business Analyst

On Thursday, 8th December, 2011, students at IMNU had the privilege to hear Mr. Laval Bhatt, a Gold Medalist in Business Management & Entrepreneurship from EDI, speak on the Business Analysis process. He is an IT professional with more than 10 years of experience in business consulting. Having worked with multinational companies like Infosys, FISERV and iGATE, he could draw on his experience and share his brilliant insights with the students here.

He made the session interactive with his humorous yet witty comments at sporadic intervals. He talked about the “as-is” and “to-be” design models of the business analysis process, the deduction techniques in business and the significance attached to the business intelligence terminology. He emphasized on the ease of taking business decisions given the various software tools which take “intelligent” decisions for business analysts in businesses. Another salient topic he discussed was “cloud computing” and its various components and utilities.

He made a very interesting statement about the famous social networking website Facebook quoting it to be a – “Business Intelligence firm analyzing social intelligence of people”. He smiled, laughed, made witty comments while he made his points and concepts get into the minds of the students at IMNU. The discussion ended with an eager audience wholeheartedly participating in the concluding question-answer session with him.

The lecture was organized by the Kaizen Committee as a part of the lecture series held at IMNU.
